Page 38 of the Maranatha puzzle book, Figure 1, was the only encoded page that was not laid out in a uniform grid of 12 X 13 letters. From the beginning of the hunt, this page received a great deal of focus, but the meaning remained elusive. This page has a total of 103 letters on 10 lines that are also divided into four groups.

After the pig-pen code was translated, one of the earliest secrets found on this page was that word “TRUTH” was hidden vertically in the text when it was left justified, as shown in Figure 2. In this FIgure the last two lines are right justified, which will be explained later.

As we already know, “TRUTH” is the name of the encoded message in the 1611 King James Bible.

As shown on the page,  “Using The Key”, Figure 3 shows how the text exacted from the beginning and end of the Bible is combined together.

The starting lines from the beginning and end are 66 and 37, respectively.

66 + 37 = 103, which is the same as the letter count on page 38.

Subtracting the value extracted from the end of the Bible from the value obtained in the beginning, gives the page number, 38.

41 – 3 = 38

The value of the text on line 37 from the end of the Bible is “SNAMYNA” = 87 = “TRUTH”. The word “TRUTH” hidden on page 38 confirms this relationship as well.

The connection between values, 41 and 3, of the squares at the beginning and end of the text is found on Page 41 of Maranatha, see Figure 4. Highlighted red, the top of the three mountain peaks form three squares, which confirms the number 3 related to the Square at the end of the Bible. Page 41 relates to the number 41 extracted by the Square from the beginning of the Bible.

Combined with “TRUTH”, the remaining letters in the same column of Figure 3 are highlighted green, and have a total value of 147. Note that the last two lines are right justified. This is the unbalanced divide of the four groups of lines.

“AT TRUTH NTE” = 147

The interesting thing about 147 is that it is the same value as “JESUS” and “IESUS”.

147 = 74 + 73 = “JESUS” + “IESUS”

Page 38 also confirms the deletion of “GOD” and “CUP” from the text of the Bible. Figure 5 shows the letters that remain on page 38 after deletion of “GOD and “CUP”. A total of 24 letters are deleted.

There are 6 letters left on each of the three last lanes, giving the value 666.

The remaining letters have a total value of 965.

Recalling that 888 is the Greek value of JESUS, 965 – 888 = 77 = “CHRIST”

The last three groups of letters have a total value of 753.

Subtracting 666, 753 – 666 = 87 = “TRUTH”

This portion of the page confirms that “GOD” and “CUP” are deleted from the Bible. It also confirms that the last 61 letters are associated with the code called “TRUTH”.

61 = 24 + 37, which are the starting line numbers for the code from the beginning and end, and 24 X 37 = 888.

As shown in Figure 6, there is additional information related to the values of “JESUS” and “IESUS” encoded in Page 38 with the letters “GOD” and “CUP” deleted.

• “IESUS” = 73, and the first 73 letters have a value of 906
• 906 – 888 = 18

• “JESUS” = 74, and the first 74 letters have a value of 907
• 907 – 888 = 19

• 18 + 19 = 37
• This points to a relationship between the starting line number 37 and the values of “JESUS” and “IESUS”.
• Note that “JESUS” = 74 = 37 + 37
• This could indicate that there are two line 37’s to look for.
